Only after starting a KDE session and starting Firefox I finally see the global address appear. The output of the above command is: eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr E0:CB:4E:CD:D7:B6 inet addr:192.168.1.32 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: 2001:980:7480:1:e2cb:4eff:fecd:d7b6/64 Scope:Global inet6 addr: fe80::e2cb:4eff:fecd:d7b6/64 Scope:Link I use the ifup method with a fixed IPv4 address, although the global address finally is always the same, I don't see anything explicitly in YaST to define a fixed IPv6 address. My ISP has given me the network prefix 2001:980:7480/48 . Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.reboot 2.monitor the output of "ifconfig eth0" 3.Start Firefox in KDE 4.now the global IPv6 address appears. Expected Results: I would expect the appearance of the global IPv6 address during booting. I also used VirtualBox to generate an openSUSE 12.1M2 system on the 11.4 system as the host, and I observed the same problem there. In the host I captured all traffic to the MAC address of VM using wireshark. Yesterday I received two new Toshiba laptops with Windows 7 pre-installed. Booting the NET iso from USB, this morning I then installed openSUSE 11.4 using all the defaults, which went just fine except for bug#691927. The problem appeared when I tried boot Windows again and was told "BOOTMGR is missing". Given that the Windows partition was resized, I'm leaning towards some sort of problem in that, but this seems like it is such a basic thing that just HAS to work. (resizing was proposed by YaST). I can probably work my way out of this problem, but I feel pretty certain a newbie encountering this would run away screaming and never look back. The user goes and starts changing roles by clicking the checkboxes in the user table. Everything seems normal but behind scenes the user is logged out after the first change he performed on the table. There is no visual notion that the user is logged out. As a result of that all the changes that were performed after the initial one don't get applied. The user is finally able to find it out when he tries to open another tab or just refreshes the page. Once a refresh/reload is triggered it gets clear that there is no user logged in and all changes except the first one are missing. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open/Create a project. 2. Open tab "Users". 3. Add/Remove a role for any of the current users. 4. Continue to change the roles for the current users. 5. When you feel like it refresh the page (or open another tab). Actual Results: The user will no longer be logged in. The changes made will be missing. (except first one). Expected Results: The user should remain logged in. All changes should be applied. It seems this bug applies only for the unstable branch of OBS. I was not able to reproduce it at build.opensuse.org.
