Emergency save completed. Inkscape will close now. If you can reproduce this crash, please file a bug at www.inkscape.org with a detailed description of the steps leading to the crash, so we can fix it. ++++ Changing GTK Styles (System Settings, go to: Application Appearance, choose: GTK Styles and Fonts) to other style except Oxygen-molecule (I tried Sonar), solves the issue. Investigating the issue I found, that the acpi-cpufreq driver is no longer automatically loaded. My first guess was that this was caused by me using systemd for init, but running with traditional System V init does not change anything. Actually I encountered a lot less problems than I had expected, and only with some of the less common filetypes, but there were a few issues nevertheless. *.flac ksuseinstal wants to install banshee or decibel. No application is associated with .flac even though Amarok supports these files very well. *.svgz ksuseinstall wants to install eye of gnome or inkscape. If you install neither the file is opened with Ark. However gwenview is able to display the file just fine, and should be associated with it. *.svg It's opened with gimp - maybe this is ok as default. But gwenview should also be associated with svg. *.webm ksuseinstall wants to install totem. No application in the default install is associated with it. However it works with Kaffeine (almost, with my test file I got audio but no video) *.ogg (video/x-theora+ogg) ksuseinstall wants to install banshee, dragon, parole or whaawmp. However Kaffeine should be a specialized app for it, as it works fine. Interestingly this problem only occurs with .ogg video files, if the extension is .ogv there's no problem. I guess only older ogg theora files have the .ogg extension. The internal Screen is not recognized and the X11 system quits to shell. When a custom EDID information is injected the system goes on loading, KDE start sound plays, but the Screen stays black. When attaching an external screen via Displayport full acceleration works and picture turns up on the external screen. Internal screen stays black. The system: HP Elitebook 8540w with Nvidia Quadro FX 1800M and Dreamcolor Display (10bit per channel Display) Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Use a HP Elitebook 8540w with quadro FX 1800M and Dreamcolor Display 2. Install Nvidia driver (manual or per Yast) 3. Start X11 It seems to be an interdistributional Error and interesting: A similar Error appears on Hackintosh Systems with this Hardware combination. Windows runs fine.
