I use the ODBCConfig GUI program to add a User DSN. I click Add, select the MySQL ODBC driver in the list (registered by the install program) and click OK. I then get a message "Could not construct a property list for (MySQL ODBC 3.51.27r695 Driver)" and cannot proceed any further. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Run ODBCConfig 2. Add User DSN 3. Select MySQL ODBC Driver and click OK Actual Results: A message pops up: "Could not construct a property list for (MySQL ODBC 3.51.27r695 Driver)" And I cannot proceed. In addition, settings made via yast in the CUPS config are ignored. This is annoying especially for settings like duplex: The user needs to remember for _every_ print action to recheck the duplex printing option in one of the settings tab. This bug has already caused significant paper waste in our lab. It is a big annoyance to anyone who needs to print a lot with KDE. In addition and it's a regression from KDE3.5, where printer settings can be set and saved from the printer dialog. This bug has been reported to the KDE bugzilla, and although it is the bug with the most votes in kde-print there is no reaction whatsoever from a kde-print dev: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=180051 There is also a corresponding bugreport in QT's bugzilla, also unassigned and with no schedule: http://bugreports.qt.nokia.com/browse/QTBUG-3567 I hope there will be some merciful mind here at OpenSUSE who will not instantly mark this bug as a duplicate of something else but instead give some hope to the numerous users who are constantly annoyed by this bug. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Print a document, set duplex to on in the kprinter dialog 2. Print another document on the same printer, find that duplex is off Alternatively: 1. Use yast to configure a printer to use duplex 2. Print a document from KDE4 and find that it is not printed in duplex Actual Results: Settings in the kde printing dialog are not remembered. Settings made in the CUPS printer config are ignored by the KDE printing dialog. Expected Results: Settings should be remembered, or at least the settings made in CUPS should be respected. Looking at script /lib/mkinitrd/scripts/boot-start.sh this is no surprise, code like # kernel commandline parsing for o in $(cat /proc/cmdline); do will certainly not work with spaces involved. Note: The config file mimic (/boot/config/... in initrd) does not help very much, because I need the devices to be initialized in defined order. This happened to work in openSuse11.0 when specifying on kernel command line but does not when the config file mechanism in 11.1/11.2 comes into play. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. The scripts were not touched and work correctly previously. The FAQ on the iptables website has the following entry: You have just upgraded your kernel and suddenly some of the commands (especially in the 'nat' table), and you experience something like: # iptables -A POSTROUTING -t nat -o ppp0 -j MASQUERADE iptables: Invalid argument This happens when the structure size between kernel and userspace changes. You will need to recompile the iptables userspace program using the include files of your new kernel. This only happens if you (or the vendor of your kernel) has applied some patches either only to the old or only to the new kernel. It is not supposed to happen between vanilla kernel.org kernels. This is correct. I s2ram while at home, then travel to the office. At the office, I insert the laptop into a docking bay, then resume. Once resumed, resolv.conf looks like this: ### /etc/resolv.conf file autogenerated by racoon of novell-ipsec-tools! # Process id: 3146 ### search <home_domain> provo.novell.com nameserver 10.0.0.254 nameserver <office_ns1> nameserver <office_ns2> This is clearly not correct. 'rcnetwork restart' doesn't fix the problem.
