It was working fine with openSUSE 11.1 One machine A I use vncserver :1 On machine B, I type 'vncviewer -via $IP_FOR_MACHINE_A :1', enter my password, and am presenting with a lovely vnc session. The mouse works. The moment I press a key - ANY key - Xvnc segfaults. Every time. With os11.2 I had to patch the resume= parameter on every kernel update (because it was always lost) and often could not suspend to disk because I simply forgot about it seeking for the error in a totally different place and thus wasting lots of precious time. This time with os11.3 I have to set the nomodeset parameter, have remebered wrong about it (as modeset or modset=0) and thus another time wasted huge amounts of time. The bug does not seem to serious but it provides a true utterly annoying hazard. Please fix this before the release of os11.3! It should not be a great deal, at least to keep all parameters behind the final runlevel stating (5 or 3, usually). The parameters there can only having been entered by a user. I did a new installation with all partitions of about 100GB. The warning of "The boot loader is installing on a partition that does not lie entirely below 128 GB" still remains. But after the installation grub sees now al the other distroes. (Windows and Mandriva) I think this is caused by the type of GRUB (openSUSE uses the old GRUB version with menu.lst) When I installed for instance UBUNTU I always see all the distros, no matter the size of the partitions and I never see the 128GB warning. UBUNTU uses the new GRUB-PC version, which probes the other distro partitions the right way. (as far as I can see all the "RPM" distroes use the old GRUB with the menu.lst method and has the same limitation of partition size of 128 GB.
