I just tried to compile Suse Linux package libunwind-0.98.6-4
and the compiler said
Gtest-dyn1.c:109: warning: ordered comparison of pointer with integer zero
The source code is
if (unw_get_proc_name (&cursor, name, sizeof (name), &offset) == 0
&& off > 0)
The compare of local variable "off" with 0 looks suspicious, because it
is always true. Suggest code re-work.

While updating to the current available kernel 2.6.27, I had to downgrade
VirtualBox from 2.1.4 to 2.0.6.
Unfortunately, 2.0.6 is not compatible with images lately touched by 2.1.4, so
I cannot access my existing VirtualBox image.
I think my 2.1.4 originally came from repo
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/Virtualization:/VirtualBox/openSU…
, so probably 2.1.4 would have to be provided for kernel 2.6.27 in that repo.
Thank you for your attention :-)

Package nvidia-gfxG02-kmp-pae and others from the NVIDIA repository have been
updated to package version 180.29_2.6.27.18_0.3-0.1. These updated packages
depend on a kernel version not yet released with openSUSE 11.1, hence the
attempt to install these packages will fail due to dependency errors.
This is especially sad for new users/new installations who/which don't have an
old version of the NVIDIA driver already installed.
Three possible (mutually exclusive) solutions:
1) Finally release the updated kernel (as I heard on IRC there is an updated
kernel in the pipes anyways).
2) Release the modules packages of the new NVIDIA drivers for the kernels
currently available in openSUSE 11.1.
3) Remove the new NVIDIA packages and revert to the old ones until the new
kernel packages are ready.

I just installed a fresh copy of suse from openSUSE-11.1-DVD-i586.iso which
installed kernel:

I have installed linux-kernel-headers, kernel-source, and kernel-syms but it is
installing them for the wrong kernel (I believe) and because of this I cannot
compile kernel modules. When I attempt to compile my kernel module I get the
error:

So, I've been running this for several minutes, and - it's taking a long time.
I have all my mail stored locally, but the migration process seems to take a
-long- time; also, the dialog is too succinct and the grammar could be
improved.
Interestingly we're not using 100% CPU - though we're doing a lot of I/O.
The dialog also unfortunately gives no idea of the amount of time left; when
this is a really long task. - so far running 10+ minutes and showing 0% on the
progress bar.
My console output so far looks like this:

So - what I would like to see is:
a) this done in another thread - such that the progress dialog can update
and re-draw while the conversion is happening.
b) a better idea of the time this is going to take: we should be able to get
that done at least in bytes migrated.
c) better text giving some idea that this is really intended to take a long
time, and people should sit tight and wait patiently. (10+ minutes already and
still at 0% ;-)

searching doesn't search correctly when setted exact. This is due to default
option of PoolQuery is Substring and not exact.
Fix can be add to line 245 of YQPkgSearchFilterView.cc this line
query.setMatchExact()
Also some strange result is if you try other search type and type some string
which is also keywords (try xfce, kde or qt). This can be somehow handled,
because if you search for packages that begins with qt, you don't expect arts
in results.
