The manufacturer name "HP LaserJet" leads to confusion because now there are two manufacturers listed in model selection lists of printer setup tools (e.g. in the CUPS web frontend): One is "HP LaserJet" where the user only finds Omi driver PPDs and the other one is "HP" where all the other drivers are. (Radeon 8500). Background info: These options aren't documented either somewhere (man xorg.conf, man radeon). But without the option NoDDC2 kdm wouldn't start. (Xserver starts slowly, it took several minutes when trying with xinit, I'm going to file a separate bugreport about that) Missing of those 3 Options in the SAX2 setup menu made finding the workaround quite difficult. This is in openSuse 10.3 an in openSuse 11.0 RC1 32 an 64bit so. After an Update to the openSuse 11.0 GM Version (32 and 64bit) kdesu do not care of the Entries in the "/etc/sudoers", kdesu ask every Time for the root-Password an it seems that kdesu ignored the entries in the File "/etc/sudoers". +++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #267399 +++ Not only sudo but also kdesu should take care about the /etc/sudoers file. This will be especially useful when performing online updates via SuseUpdater. An entry for "/sbin/yast2 online_update" should also relieve from typing the root pwd when using the graphical frontend rather than the text interface. This will of course also be possible if SuseUpdater tried a sudo before invoking kdesu, which would however pose a specific and therefore less desirable solution. All KDE applications (Kopete, Kontact, ...) asked for my account passwords instead of using kwallet.
