Actually I was using YOU and just now wanted to switch to the KDE updater applet, and found that I got this message. The first problem is that it doesn't work, the second is that the message tells me nothing about what can be wrong. Strange is that it works if I log out as a different user. The problematic user runs a self compiled KDE and I removed the opensuseupdaterrc but didn't help. The text below the update-list just stated something about wifi, so I installed it. However, without any notification kernel-bigsmp was installed. It means that it displays popup windows with information about problems (dependences) and write also 1. Running solver with all possibilities can solve the problem but it doesn't do it. :( I can send more information.
