Two panels are created for me with this setup. On display :0.0, the panel contains; Slab, Tomboy, Window List, Notification Area, Volume Control, Intlclock and Show Desktop On Display :0.1, the panel contains; Slab, Tomboy, Window List, Volume Control, Intlclock and Show Desktop If I click on Slab or Intlclock on :0.0, it correctly shows up on :0.0, but if I click on them on :0.1, the show up on :0.0. This does create backup timing problems for the larger customers, so switching to SLES 10 is on hold. The speed loss of the factor 4 simply means dump (eg. the backup) is crawling through the night and still there in e morning. I have 3rd party updates turned off for my opensuse updater thingy. I got a security patch to install. .that package was also part of a 3rd party repo I had .. Since it was a security patch and not an update.. it wanted to install.. however.. it tried to install the one from the 3rd party, and not from the "Update" repo. Since I checked no 3rd party, it should install updates ONLY from the "Updates" repo.. So I should shut it down manually and turning it on again has only the diffrence of grub autoboot and everything else is a new boot. s2ram: system goes to sleep completely but after waking it up; nope it doesn't wake up! system is died, CapsLock doesn't work and no action. Bad thing is that nothing has been reported in /var/log/messages, neither good nor bad and /var/log/pm-suspend.log has only good events for both of s2disk and s2ram. we've been discussing it a little on http://www.suseforums.net/index.php?showtopic=42116 and got no success. I just took my working peer configuration from openSUSE 10.2 and put it to '/etc/ppp/peers/bluetooth-dun' As before on openSUSE 10.2 I modified '/etc/sysconfig/bluetooth' to start the DUND automatically with the following parameters: DUND_DAEMON_ARGS="--listen --persist call bluetooth-dun" Next I verified, that dund is running: # ps ax | grep dund 1865 ? S<s 0:00 /usr/bin/dund --listen --persist call bluetooth-dun Now if I try to connect to the dund via my mobile phone or with a second pc and dund, nothing happens. It seems like dund doesn't react to incoming DUN requests at all!? Could it be, that a client tries to lookup the DUN-Service via SDP first? I recognized, that the SDP daemon (sdpd) is missing (or no longer shiped) with openSUSE 10.3. Reproduce: issue find / -name "eclipse" ( should return nothing if eclipse not installed ) Install eclipse cdt from yast2 sw_single Uninstall eclipse from yast2 sw_single issue find / -name "eclipse" returns /usr/lib/eclipse /usr/share/eclipse both contain subdirectories plugin of which /usr/lib/eclipse/plugin is heavily populated. Same happens when uninstalling with rpm -e, so its probably a packaging problem.
