The driver is redistributable (the licence is in the archive, inside the "lib" subdirectory) and the source code is available from here: http://www.broadcom.com/support/802.11/linux_sta.php It includes a closed library, but it should be a similar situation to what Intel driver used to be before iwl. That setting is on. I have passwords in my signons2.txt and signons3.txt, but if i look those in Firefox settings, that area is empty, zerp passwords. I created new profile, same issues. Because of strange interactions between KDE4 compositing and the closed source Nvidia driver (probably), the KDE4 taskbar, both in KDE4.1 and KDE4.2, is completely transparent and therefore also completely unreadable and unusable. I don't mind whether this is an Nividia error or an KDE4 error, I would simply propose to offer a KDE4 theme which doesn't use transparency effects on the task bar.
