It's still needed, but *only* when you use pulseaudio. If you don't use pulseaudio (e.g. KDE on 11.0), libflashsupport is harmful indeed.
It's possible that newer flash (not pulseaudio) doesn't require libflashsupport, but we don't have it on 11.1, AFAIK.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.
At the last time I tried, firefox from firefox OBS repo requires esound, which results in requirement of pulseaudio and libflashsupport. Is it still true?
No, it never was. I have no pulseaudio or libflashsupport on my 11.0 system but use Firefox. Firefox uses libesd to output some types of sound indeed but it has no requirement for it. It just uses it if available but even if I have libesd0 installed I don't get pulseaudio (and also don't need it). So whom to assign this for looking into libflashsupport/flash crashes? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
