If you use s2ram and your system isn't whitelisted, you have to realize this on your own - unless I didn't read the docs thoroughly enough. Therefore I prepared a patch in order to improve this behaviour, it is against suspend-0.8.20080523-01.src.rpm. If this patch is applied a configuration file containing the s2ram-entries for your machine is created in /etc called /etc/s2ram_whitelist.cfg. Any user can uncomment this and can play with the additional parameters as being used in whitelist.c; docs can be found in /etc/s2ram_whitelist.cfg. Given the apropriate parameters for your system have been found, every user could easily communicate them for a pool of entries to be integrated into s2ram. Plug in the dongle again. The mouse will not reconnect, you have to remove pairing and pair again. The same happens after a suspend. When the system rebooted after first stage the system was not able to boot any more: "No operating system found". The MBR (of /dev/sda itself!) was altered. With the rescue system I created a copy of the current MBR and reapplied the saved original "backup_mbr" and could then start the second stage. These MBRs differ. I will attach the yast2 logs, see at timestamp "2008-12-02 09:38:05". Please tell me if I should attach the two MBRs as well. I ran into a timing problem, it needs some time until the usb storage is available to the system. The command $h --cdrom | grep "Device File:"|sed -e"s@(.*)@@" | cut -f2 -d: is executed, before the usb drive scan is complete. Therefore only /dev/hda is used, insted of /dev/sr0, too. I attached a patch, which first waits 5 seconds for /sys/bus/usb/drivers/usb-storage , I' m not sure how long it can take until the directory is available. If the directory exists, I wait up to 15s for 'usb-storage: device scan complete' in the kernel dmesg. I don' t know if there is a better way to check for it. We have to wait until the scsi_scan_host has finished. Maybe the patch should be applied to the function probeUSB. My HP system needs 5 seconds to finish the scan. What is even more annoying is that to just see the list of deleted/autodeleted packages on _every_ checkbox I deselect (Install, Update, etc.) the list gets refreshed (which takes ~6 seconds for every de-selection). There is a "Refresh List" button below but it seems it is there for no reason. Please disable automatic refresh of the list. Patch to fix is attached. Just for information the setup is as following: iscsi connections: iscsi-target1 (on iscsi-initiator hostA) iscsi-target2 (on iscsi-initiator hostB) Both of there iscsi targets contain a partition table which described the whole 'disk'space as linux raid (fd). Those partitions reside within /dev/md0 (a raid1). /dev/md0 is the root partition. To setup the iscsi connection I need DHCP for networking. The bugs: 1) scripts/setup-iscsi.sh doesn't look to $blockdev but only looks for $rootdev. This way mkinitrd can't find out that /dev/sda and /dev/sdb are needed for booting 2) scripts/boot-iscsi.sh has a for statement where it looks how much iscsi-sessions there are (and some other in case someone specifies them an the commandline). This statement is missing a $. 3) scripts/boot-network.sh has a bug. During the installation, the summary of the bootloader configuration said that the entry of the old installation (on sda2, primary) will be included. Nevertheless, looking at menu.lst after the installation has finished, the old entry wasn't included.
