This could be a configuration issue, but when I'm running the NetworkManager KDE4 plasmoid, all alerts scroll up the middle of the screen and block using the interface for a few seconds or until clicked. This can be quite disruptive since wireless network notifications come and go regularly in some environments. I would like to see under openSUSE Gnome desktop some tools for managing tnef [1] files, like KDE desktop has (i.e., KTnef tool, that provides some advanced functions as not only can display the content of the attachment -winmail.dat- but also it can read the file "attributes" or "properties"). I have not found any tool to deal with these kind of files under Gnome so I had to take a look into some external projects [2] [3] [4] in order to workaround this, but not avail. Also, I've been told about a plugin for Evolution [5] to handle this, but cannot find any package for Gnome 2.24 (just only one "evolution-tnef-attachments" under home:/ repo for Gnome 2.22). The only app that let me extract some useful information from these files was Jtnef [6], a java based one. So I think it would be nice to have some tools for managing this :-) Thanks!
