Those files are checked, everything is working. It would be much better for me that instead of copying option by option to KNM, I would just load such file and KNM would set everything for me. Since the package has not been installed, the module went on to install it, but installed a whole lot of unrelated packages along. Upon further investigation, I discovered that no language had been chosen for spellcheck under the Edit menu. Selecting the appropriate language (in my case, English (United States) fixes this issue.
