To work this driver needs firmware - which appears to be non-oss. It would be great if this firmware could delivered on cd6/dvd/non-oss-inst-source for 10.2. Indeed, modprobe(8) fails for me when run via sudo. Fix is easy and attached below. [ As an aside, my ipw3945 module needs to be removed and reloaded after a suspend and resume cycle. Is this known or am I doing something wrong? Please add %post libs %run_ldconfig and %postun libs %run_ldconfig to the spec file. Therefore it needs to depend on the Python major version it was built with. => Please use %py_requires. Note that the indirect dependency dbus-1-python -> libxml2-python -> python is not sufficient: libxml2-python in Factory is already built for Python 2.5, but dbus-1-python is still Python 2.4. However, using YaST to configure it using the traditional method works. Hardware: Dell Inspiron E1505 laptop (Intel PRO/Wireless 3945 ABG card) NetworkManager connects, successfully authenticates, then drops the connection due to a timeout. Traditional method connects, successfully authenticates, and pulls an IP address. If any additional information is needed, please let me know. It is not possible to configure a Modem as well as a DSL connection in a PC. 2. It is not possible to configure a Modem to perform any other function except to establish a connection to an ISP. 3. There is no user interface that belongs to the YAST configuration of a Answering Machine. Many user options are missing as follows. 1. Record incoming call message or provide default .wav file or create a voice file. 2. Answer the telephone after x number of rings. - unable to interface with modem 3. Default directory for storing voice recorded files. 4. Play back facility of calls left. 5. Delete functionality of recorded messages. 6. Repeat functionality of recorded messages. 7. Being a Network Device what function reliance to the desktop is the use of every user having a different telephone number?????????????? 8. Being a Network device there is no user functionality to access messages recorded on ? server and served to the correct user. 9. It would appear that the Server and user interface is completely missing. 10. The only help reference of answering machine is as follows. Quote 2.6.3. Phone Answering Machine Configure your SUSE Linux system to function as a telephone answering machine with Network Devices+Phone Answering Machine. Configure it for one or more users, but each user must have a unique telephone number. When adding or editing users, configure the username, telephone numbers, delay, duration, and desired action. Assign a PIN (personal identification number) to provide the user with remote access to the machine. Unquote. There is NO setup help to describe missing functionality.
