When the error occurs while connecting to repo, I would like to abort the whole process, so I click abort. Effect? The repo is skipped. But when I click skip, the repo is... skipped. What point of having two same buttons? Abort should abort. 2) Installing with SM Let's say I set some app for refresh, I click accept, and I just realized I set the wrong version. So I abort. I get back to the app list, accept, and... I cannot install anything because the process is aborted. I was installing in English but Yast displayed messages that it is reading some other translations as well. I think this is not needed. Actually I could not see any harm from this too but I think it is worse to note here. As a result starting install software brings up a Zen-Installer window with a "Getting list" (or words to that effect) and the CPU goes to near 100% with zen-installer for a long period of time. It appears to be hung. This is poor from a human factors standpoint. There should be: - some kind of progress indicator - some way to skip the update (I would not use the word "abort" here as that implies total program abort) so that one can do a quick install of something that is already media-local. Anyway, it lacks a proper progress meter. Instead the "Abort" button flickers from time to time. After the installation, I had the local SLP tree and download.opensuse.org enabled (that's probably the default).
