When I try and update I receive the following dependency issues. Unresolved dependencies: Updating xmoto-0.2.2-13.i586[System packages] to xmoto-0.2.2-14.i586[20061113-102414] Updating lua-5.1.1-9.i586[System packages] to lua-5.1.1-11.i586[20061113-102414] lua-5.1.1-9.i586[System packages] provides liblua.so.5.1, but is scheduled to be uninstalled. lua-5.1.1-9.i586[20061113-095637] provides liblua.so.5.1, but another version of that package is already installed. Can't satisfy requirement liblua.so.5.1 for lua-5.1.1-11.i586[20061113-102414] lua-5.1.1-9.i586[System packages] provides liblua.so.5.1, but is scheduled to be uninstalled. lua-5.1.1-9.i586[20061113-095637] provides liblua.so.5.1, but another version of that package is already installed. I also have evolution on my man workstation (SLED 10) where I do most of my work. As I delete emails from evolution (on SLED) the changes are synced out to other workstations and also the xplat groupwise client. When I look at evolution running on openSUSE I see several emails that had been deleted on the SLED box but still show up in the evolution on the openSUSE box. Most of the emails that I have deleted are gone. I need to do some more testing, but I think that some relevant points are: (1) I am running local cache of evolution on the openSUSE box. (2) I think that the email that is not being deleted occured when both evolution windows (on sled and opensuse) were open at the same time. I have tried the CD's, creating a DVD, as well as a network install and all of them lock up at the same point where is says loading linux kernel and as soon as the dialog disappears it lock hard. I then pointed to the DVD iso using vmware and tried to install opensuse 10.2 into vmware. It will start loading the status bar when I hit Enter on the Installation option, but as soon as it gets to 100% of loading the linux kernel it hard locks to where I can't do anything. Business issue: I have marked this as Critical because I see two business issues with this. One is that there are many users that like to evaluate openSUSE using vmware. I have tried going into a terminal, su to root, and then typing in nautilus. Nothing happens. I don't even get any messages in the terminal. I have also tried typing gnomesu nautilus. Same result. I do this because often times I need to edit or attach log files that are in a restricted area. The issue that I am running into is that when you get to the install screen the default install resolution is set to 800 x 600. I am comparing this with a SLED 10 installation as far as fonts are concerned. On SLED 10 the fonts are very clear and clean looking. On openSUSE 10.2 beta 2 they look like they have the right fonts installed but the fonts are not as clean and clear looking. I have two workstations with openSUSE 10.2 installed and both are showing the same issue. I thought that it might be a display driver issue as well, so I installed the nvidia driver on the box with the nvidia card and it didn't make a difference. This is easiest to see in application like firefox and evolution, so it might be specific to application fonts. I also looked in the control center, font section to see if there was any difference.
