Re: DICOM viewer for Tumbleweed KDE
Hi again, uhm, I spoke too soon: I can open single dicom files only. Trying to open a series leads to a coredump. Bye. Michael. On Sonntag, 13. Februar 2022 19:45:20 CET mh@mike.franken.de wrote:
Hi Simon,
thx for this description. dcmtk an liborcus were already installed here. After installing libglademm aeskulap could be installed without a problem and seems to run as expected.
Bye. Michael.

Hi *,
is there any DICOM viewer available for KDE in openSUSE Tumbleweed?
TIA.
Bye. Michael.
i use aeskulap from:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/fstrba/openSUSE_Tumbleweed /
working fine for me. but i remember somebody had problems with the installation. ah, found my note: you must also install:
dcmtk dcmtk3_6
is, or it was a dependency problem. i think automatically it will maybe not installed, but you need it otherwise aeskulap will not work.
this 4 have also something to do with it, according to my very old, (maybe wrong) writings: libixion-0_13-0 from opensuse liborcus-0_13-0 from opensuse libglademm from home-fstrba.... libglademm-2_4-1 from home-fstrba....
i need always a little time and never remember after a half year of not working with it how to get all pictures in and slide thru, if you not managed it to use, write again, i must try then, and then i could write how to work with it.

If somebody else read this in the archiv: 2 problems solved: 1) liborcus-0_17-0 libixion-0_17 installed from the correct repo. 2) if you use the file "DICOMDIR" it could be that inside the file the filenames of the pictures are not case intensive correct. loading it from a windows computer makes no problems. but if you use a linux system it must match. this is a problem of the producer of the cd. not of the operating system. so maybe rename the files or do not use this file and select alle files with shift mouse, or shift arrow keys up-down manual. simoN -- www.becherer.de
Hi Simon, you were faster than me - thx for this description. Additionally I found out, that not only the different case of the files and directory names is a problem, but also different encoding of German umlauts between the dicomdir contents and the real files and directories 8-< And this second problem also hits Windows. At the moment I'm experimenting with dcmmkdir to create a new dicomdir file from the contents of the DICOM directory: dcmmkdir --input-directory ./DICOM --recurse --output-file dicomdir I didn't succeed yet, but I am really close to a solution. This is the reason, I didn't post my findings yet. I wanted to find a complete solution first. Bye. Michael. On Donnerstag, 17. Februar 2022 20:20:54 CET Simon Becherer wrote:
