OpenStreetMap has very good coverage of the WDW resort, but the eye level detail for the hotels isn't anywhere near the coverage that the parks have. Perhaps we could organize a mapping party to take care of the site we are at? Hi, From today's meeting I had the action item to figure out if rooms can be shared and how this might effect "Magic Bus" transportation. Rooms can be shared and all that share a room can ride on the "Magic Bus" ;) I've just pushed an update to the web page to the repository and the updated text should show up in the next hour or two. If someone could please read the text and let me know if it makes sense or what changes need to be made to clarify the situation I would appreciate it. [opensuse-summit] Some progress

Hi, Well I have some progress to report,.....finally. I have gone through all the web site documents and images for summit.opensuse.org, while I am not a web guy I think I figured out a bunch of stuff. There is still content to be added, but most of the stuff is in shape such that it can be posted I think. My next steps are to figure out how to get push access to the git repo, figure out how to deploy the site, set up the Summit in OSEM and work with Jos on an announcement. Chuck may have found us a Keynote speaker :) While at the IBM Edge conference I also had a chance to talk with someone from the SUSE events team to hopefully get some help. I am hoping we can get the "new" site published this week or early next week, get OSEM set up and have an announcement with CfP and all the bells and whistles. Will keep everyone posted. Hello again I am still working with some of the images taken from last Summit. I asked AJ to send some of the pictures he took during the last session. There is some good material we can take from there to create graphics for the website. I tried my luck with this image from Michael and Andy as they sat down to talk about the project. I want to add this "vintage" color combination to the images. It makes them a little warmer. Obviously this is a test and is not final. Hi, Please welcome Steve. Steve participated in the Summit last year and had a great time. This year Steve is volunteering to help pull things together. Thank you Steve. Dear Em, WOW! So many months since we first came up with the idea of an openSUSE Summit to be held in North America and now the time is almost upon us. We've beaten our initial attendance estimates by over triple! In fact, pretty soon, we may have to close off registrations because we are currently at near capacity. If you have registered and are unable to attend the Summit, please let us know so we can free up more space for last minute registrations. We hope to see you at the Summit, but we also want to ensure that everyone has a chance to attend. ==Getting Ready== We urge you to be sure to visit http://summit/opensuse.org to familiarize yourself with the plans for the weekend. We've got lots of activities. If you are arriving by airport, we suggest you book a shuttle service to the hotel as hotel is not close to the airport. Visit the Location page for more information. And don't forget to download your Summit web badge. We suggest comfortable wear. Depending on the time of year, it can get quite humid in Florida. T-shirts and jeans are acceptable. Both evening parties will be held outdoors, weather permitting. For the Friday night Poolside party, pack your swimsuit. We will have boat races in the pool and you just might get wet! For the Saturday night Luau, pull out that ugly Hawaiian shirt no one lets you wear. We don't mind! By the way, we're hosting a Geeko Jam Session on Saturday night. Dear Ryan, WOW! So many months since we first came up with the idea of an openSUSE Summit to be held in North America and now the time is almost upon us. We've beaten our initial attendance estimates by over triple! In fact, pretty soon, we may have to close off registrations because we are currently at near capacity. If you have registered and are unable to attend the Summit, please let us know so we can free up more space for last minute registrations. We hope to see you at the Summit, but we also want to ensure that everyone has a chance to attend. ==Getting Ready== We urge you to be sure to visit http://summit/opensuse.org to familiarize yourself with the plans for the weekend. We've got lots of activities. If you are arriving by airport, we suggest you book a shuttle service to the hotel as hotel is not close to the airport. Visit the Location page for more information. And don't forget to download your Summit web badge. Anyone with a musical instrument can jump up and belt out the tunes with fellow Geekos. So pack that instrument before you leave home! ==Workshops== The Summit offers three workshops, all free!: Come a day early and you can attend the Linux Professional Institute's Exam Cram on Thursday afternoon at SUSECon. Then take the exam on Friday for only $99 (payable directly to LPI.) Friday afternoon, we offer a RPM Packaging workshop from 2 p.m. To 4 p.m. Saturday morning, we offer a How to work with open Build Service workshop from 10 a.m. to noon. Dear Christoph, WOW! So many months since we first came up with the idea of an openSUSE Summit to be held in North America and now the time is almost upon us. We've beaten our initial attendance estimates by over triple! In fact, pretty soon, we may have to close off registrations because we are currently at near capacity. If you have registered and are unable to attend the Summit, please let us know so we can free up more space for last minute registrations. We hope to see you at the Summit, but we also want to ensure that everyone has a chance to attend. ==Getting Ready== We urge you to be sure to visit http://summit/opensuse.org to familiarize yourself with the plans for the weekend. We've got lots of activities. If you are arriving by airport, we suggest you book a shuttle service to the hotel as hotel is not close to the airport. Visit the Location page for more information. And don't forget to download your Summit web badge. We suggest comfortable wear. Depending on the time of year, it can get quite humid in Florida. T-shirts and jeans are acceptable. Both evening parties will be held outdoors, weather permitting. For the Friday night Poolside party, pack your swimsuit. We will have boat races in the pool and you just might get wet! For the Saturday night Luau, pull out that ugly Hawaiian shirt no one lets you wear. We don't mind! By the way, we're hosting a Geeko Jam Session on Saturday night. Anyone with a musical instrument can jump up and belt out the tunes with fellow Geekos. So pack that instrument before you leave home! ==Workshops== The Summit offers three workshops, all free!: Come a day early and you can attend the Linux Professional Institute's Exam Cram on Thursday afternoon at SUSECon. Then take the exam on Friday for only $99 (payable directly to LPI.) Friday afternoon, we offer a RPM Packaging workshop from 2 p.m. To 4 p.m. Saturday morning, we offer a How to work with open Build Service workshop from 10 a.m. to noon. Attend both the the Packaging and OBS workshops and you'll earn a free “I'm an OBS Guru” coffee mug. This is an exclusive gift that can only be earned, not given away. ==SUSECon== While SUSECon is a paid event, you can gain free access to SUSECon on Friday with your free Summit registration.
