where should i have looked? Probably the opensuse-kde mailing-list: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-kde/2010-07/msg00008.html respectfully:
what is the world wide circulation of that mail list? and, who on the mailing list is supposed to pick up the news and distribute it to the thousandS affected who are not readers there? Sorry, but you don't have to believe everything what people write in the wiki. There is absolutely no reason to panic, the old repo URLs still work. Can I suggest 2 things:
1) a policy of redirecting the old URL to the new for at least 6 months after change
2a) the development of a modules in the core zypper system which will flag up when a build system's repo's URL changes. This shouldn't be too difficult to automate.
Or use a feature available since 2008 (http://duncan.mac-vicar.com/blog/archives/351) ;-)
is this something that is, will be or should be incorporated into the code base.. or, is each user in the openSUSE Universe supposed to hand wire this? (if my questions seem to indicate i don't understand the instructions/ or information on the cited mac-vicar page, that would be correct) DenverD -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-project+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-project+help@opensuse.org
