Found three commits in that interval that look related to chain handling (commit ids from kernel-source repository): 5b08b6135910 netfilter: nf_tables: honor table dormant flag from netdev release event path (CVE-2024-36005 bsc#1224539). ef2c4d563d8d netfilter: nf_tables: reject new basechain after table flag update (CVE-2024-35900 bsc#1224497). daf6634077d3 netfilter: nf_tables: Fix a memory leak in nf_tables_updchain (CVE-2024-27064 bsc#1223740). At first glance, none of them looks like an obvious candidate. As far as I understand, this was encountered on a production machine.
