On line 556 there is: [ 0.502730] simple-framebuffer simple-framebuffer.0: [drm] *ERROR* fbdev: Failed to setup generic emulation (ret=-22) That's most likely because the video= resolution is not the one that grub uses. So simpledrm could not enable it. Latest updates Tumbleweed Issue: Black screen after boot after latest upgrade. Boot with kernel 5.16.4-1-default works fine. Boot with kernel 5.16.8-1-default leads to black screen. This is happening very often with Tumbleweed upgrades.
