Then the driver falls back to the legacy device mode without the multi-finger support, etc. I'm building a test kernel with a retry of queries after the error with a bit of delay. It also shows which query caused an error, too. The test kernel package is being built in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1194086 repo. From the perspective of the kernel we have a SCSI disk. I can only speculate that it needs a device specific SCSI command to enter the faster mode.
