There is no nouveau-related changes between those kernel versions, but one of major differences is that the recent kernel was switched to UsrMerge, i.e. the modules are put in /usr/lib/modules/*, and the firmware is looked from /usr/lib/firmware/*. Could you give the kernel log from the working version, too? It's likely due to the recent backport for intel_int0002_vgpio driver fixes. It looks like that the patches are incomplete, and another missing piece would break kABI, hence we can't backport those in the end. I'm building a test kernel with the revert in OBS home:tiwai:bsc1190412 repo. It'll be available later at http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/tiwai:/bsc1190412/standard/ Could you give it a try later? My test on Gnome-4 and GDM. The problem occurs only on X11, while on Wayland it seems not to appear. It's mostly all Intel components with the exception of the Nvidia discreet graphics, but I don't use that and always run just the Intel UMA graphics. For some reason it went to sleep on me unexpectedly (suspend to RAM) 45 minutes into a Zoom meeting. I had my mic and camera active at the time. Apart from that it seemed to be behaving normally, wasn't abnormally hot. I was able to quickly resume from it. I'm trying to figure out if it was a hardware or a software quirk. I don't have much to go by, but I'm attaching the dmesg and journalctl from the last boot and since the Zoom call started, which started around 16:40 and the unexpected sleep event seems to have occurred around 17:24.
