I had a couple of computers fail on me and at the same time I had our main and backup air conditioning fail (I'm in AZ, it matters) and I was down for quite some time (almost a month!). I upgraded to 15.2 and it seems far more stable but I did end up doing a fresh install because I had a boot problem (yep, this was on the machines that was down when the AC went down) which I couldn't get past any other way. I did encounter a couple of crashes in 15.2 but that might have been openGL and I have since set my rendering to renderx so with a little luck the problem might be solved. The other possibility to the openGL hypothesis is that the crashing seemed to increase after I ran `sensor-detect` which I needed to do for it to pick up, as sensor-detect describes the chip, "Nuvoton NCT6791D Super IO Sensors". Once it's been run I can then get all the sensors from that chip and I monitor many of the fan speeds & temperatures in kSysGuard so that could be thing. If you want we could close this and I'll reopen it only if it seems to still be there, I figure a month of use from now should be enough to tell for sure if the problem is still there. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.

I go to a virtual terminal and uninstall the latest kernel. There are some refaults and all of them are eve activations. But the number is still very small to the actual page cache in general. pgscan_kswapd 59636 48139 pgsteal_kswapd 34126 41061 pgscan_direct 0 0 kswapd has relcaim 41k pages but let me outline that the overall number of anonymous pages has increased in total. So it is not just the streaming IO that is going on. We know that ~15% of the reclaimed memory was anonymous (and swapped out) the rest must have been the page cache. If this was fully proportional (swappiness) then the percentage would be different. So I suspect that there is still a prevalent pagecache only reclaim happening with some occasional runs based by refault information. We also age the anonymous active list quite a lot but that shouldn't really lead to swapout on its own. It however points a finger to 2c012a4ad1a2c. I haven't checked the full data set. It would be worth having another test with 2c012a4ad1a2c reverted before we spend more time on the data. I will upload a new kernel to the same location.
