Title: Software search (webpage) shoud use automatic home repros when nothing other
openSUSE.org: Unconfirmed

Requester: Important
Requested by: melchiaros melchiaros (melchiaros)
Partner organization: openSUSE.org
Description:
..could be found.(The title was to long) When I using the Software search website http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=&baseproject=ALL&lang=en it happens frequently to me that nothing could be found with the default search options. A switch in the search options to "Include users' home projects" could be performed manually, which contains often the missed software. But it would be a simple time saving modification when the search would do the switch automatic when the Software is in no regular repro. To point it out: When it could not found in the regular repros, show the user the results with the home repros and not show: "No packages found in the openSUSE build service that matched your query. Maybe you want to extend your search using the search options."
I think this would be more user friendly.

Leafnode (http://leafnode.sourceforge.net/) is an easy to use NNTP server for small networks. It was previously packaged with openSUSE but seems to have been removed in the 11.2 distribution.
As many popular newsreaders, such as KNode, do not support offline news reading, it is necessary to use Leafnode.
Please start packaging Leafnode again in the official distribution.

Feature #309356, revision 1
Title: Include Qore language in the official repository
Package Wishlist: Unconfirmed
Priority
Requester: Neutral
Requested by: Petr Vanek (subik)
Partner organization: openSUSE.org
Description:
Would it be possible to include Qore programming language in the official repository?
I'm working for a company - Qore creator - and we are strongly interested in this area just because we are using OpenSuse as a main platform for our business.
We have RPMs packages ready in the OBS:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/devel:/languages:/misc/
and we are ready to maintain it with the full cooperation with OpenSuse developers with release cycles on mind.
More info:
http://qore.org/http://www.qoretechnologies.com/
Business case (Partner benefit):
openSUSE.org: Qore in the main repo should make easier life for our customers and Qore users worldwide. Although it looks like Qore is an unknown language, we know it's used (mainly in the enterprise area) not only by our customers, but by independent 3rd party users too.
