Title: Create administrator tool for replicating OBS resources
Buildservice: Evaluation
Priority
Requester: Desirable
Projectmanager: Desirable
Requested by: Adrian Schröter (adriansuse)
Description:
A tool for replicate defined projects from a remote OBS instance to a local instance would be helpfull. This should offer different levels of replication depth:
* Just latest sources or including past source history (maybe with a date limiter)
* Replicate binaries for :full tree ( to be able to bootstrap yourself ) or all binaries from package directories.
The tools would be helpfull as CLI and/or as part of the admin web frontend.
The remote instance should be access via the frontend api, while the local instance must be accessed via backend source and rep server (+ local frontend api for creating projects and packages).

Title: [Feature-request] Yast as a Linux learning tool
openSUSE-11.1: New
Priority
Requester: Desirable
Requested by: Alexey Eremenko <al4321(a)gmail.com>
Partner organization: openSUSE.org
Description:
Hi All !
I Have very good new idea: converting Yast into a Linux learning tool.
This is very simple to achieve: Yast must show the commands it executes and files it modifies, in a nice GUI dialog.
It will allow all kinds of Linux users understand how things really work. Enable learn new things or remind how old-but-forgotten things work for seasoned people.
Great, isn't it ?
P.S. Jay Vollmer recommends, that among the commands that Yast shows as it executing, it should also recommend "man pages" for the relevant underlying commands.

If one wants to see what is gong on in background, than look at logs in realtime. There is console (Konsole) and command tail. Run as root:
tail -f /var/log/YaST2/y2log
and then start YaST and play with.

Sounds like a great way for new users to learn more about what's under the hood. Or, what's under the bonnet, for the Brits.

Moving to maintainers to decide.

Title: Add openSUSE's Bugzilla and openFATE to Firefox's Bookmarks folder.
openSUSE-11.3: Unconfirmed

Requester: Desirable
Requested by: Ricardo Varas (ricardovarassantana)
Description:
I am thinking about the importance of those two features being included in openSUSE's Brand of Firefox, in case the user needs or feels like filing a bug or requesting and/or checking new features, For new users it'd become a much easier task having those items bookmarked by default.

Description:
Beeing interested in a very active feature request like https://features.opensuse.org/306967 results in a lot of mails, all which contain the full feature request with all the comments, it'd be nice if one could switch to a more bugzilla like behaviour so you only see what's changed, or in case it is an awnser maybe quote the previous message as well, but finding 4 lines tagged with + in a thread where people feel +1 beeing a proper comment is somewhat awkward.

Title: Temporary Build Support (aka mbuild)
Buildservice: Evaluation
Priority
Requester: Important
Projectmanager: Important
Requested by: Adrian Schröter (adriansuse)
Description:
A temporary build support is wanted to obsolete what we currently have internal as mbuild. A temporary Build should fullfill the following requirements:
* Upload of local sources without the need to create a project or package namespace manually.
* Build as part of an existing project, without the need to have write access there and without to modify it.
* Build results should be stored and downloadable for X time. Afterwards they need to get removed automatically.

Description:
As there are more and more new users within openSuSE with less knowledge. I was thinking it's an option to boot in Vesa when the original xorg.conf fails. Than the user is still able to fix the problem via a GUI i.e. YaST and SAX.

Business case (Partner benefit):
openSUSE.org: There seems to be no other general keyboard macro/textexpansion utility available for Linux, even though this is an important productivity tool.
