Current discussion points to the following needs: * bugowner needs to be set on packages also for released product projects (like openSUSE:11.1). * request mechanism to add or change a bugowner in foreign projects * maintained products/projects list must be requestable (can be hardcoded list in first attempt) * osc command needs to find all projects and package maintainers for a certain package via an api call. For example, users adding the KDE:KDE4:Factory:Desktop repository should know that the KDE provided there a working version for the next openSUSE release and it may not be as stable as they might expect (they can just read about the repository e.g. in a forum and not know more). One way to do this could be to reuse the licence dialog, showing information about the repository instead of a licence, but there appears to be no simple way to do this (it reportedly requires creating a ftp product somehow, for which I could find any usable instructions). -- openSUSE Feature: https://features.opensuse.org/308133

Thus the wave during each factory checkin wouldn't be that high. Or even delete branches if they're inactive for 1 or 2 weeks and only the pristine _link is there. This could be extended to disable the build for factory repos in user's home-dir if there're no checkin's for some time. The version of Firefox that comes with Suse 11.2 KDE4.3 doesn't have these options. I have always been a fanatic concerning private data. I was rather surprised to see everything work after a fresh installof Suse 11.2. Congratulations I am really happy with 11.2 KDE4.3. I only had a couple of hiccups. Accessing Kate, Kwrite or any other editor failed when using Dolphin or any file manager as the Super User. Easily fixed by bringing up a terminal and typing "xhost +local:0". I can't take credit for the fix it's been around since Suse 9 or earlier. I don't know how bad I am going to screw up your hard work but Firefox without the afore mentioned options has got to go. I'll try going to 11.1 dvd and stealing the Firefox off it. Actually I'm sure I am not alone in this concern. I understand the reasoning for setting Firefox as the default. I read the minutes. I had to smile about the ie8 under wine wise crack. Hope Konqueror gets it together by 11.3... Business case (Partner benefit): openSUSE.org: Data security and cookie management is obviously a security issue.
