Hi, on Tuesdays we usually have at 16:00 CEST (12:00 UTC) the team's regular meetings. Since today we are talking about the openSUSE Conference preparations, I would like you to assist if you wish. We do these meetings through an international conf. call system. In many countries we have a local number and in some other we also have a Toll-free number so you can participate at no cost. If you are interested in participating, please ping any Team Member through IRC or mail in the following hour telling them the country where you are located, so you can receive the instructions to join the system. Hi, it is very important that we put clearly in the web, and maybe in the badge, the place we have closed for lunch on Saturday and Sunday. In order to have it open during the weekend, we have agreed on guarantee 200 people eating there. [opensuse-conference] business friendly track

Hi, we are pushing this initiative for Monday Oct 22nd for one of the small rooms in venue two. We will have a business friendly track (still searching for a name). The idea is to talk about FLOSS technologies/solutions that are good for companies/public administrations that are included on openSUSE or are developed upstream and integrated/adapted by SUSE. Susanne Oberhauser-Hirschoff <froh(a)suse.com> is taking care of organizing this track. We want to make sure that, at least one day, we show that Free Software projetcs like openSUSE in general, and some technologies solutions SUSE participates on, are being used in commercial environments. [opensuse-conference] interviews and other scheduling things

Heya folks, Thanks to way too many hours Friday, this weekend and today, I managed to finish editing 3 interviews. Two of them are already on-line, go and spread the word please! Thanks to the awesome writing of Helen, I could publish an article with embedded those video's as well as the interview with Stathis (that Helen did!) and more without having to, well, skip sleeping :D So hugs to Helen - girl, I hope some day we can meet again... I need to organize a new marketing meeting, don't I ;-) Anyway, we have some other things that need to go out and these should, ideally, also get some translation to cz. The article that just went out on news.o.o can, if possible, also be translated and shared of course but for the coming articles we really need to try and get that done. So, I tried to make a bit of a plan for this week. *October 9* Tomorrow, we should publish the party schedule. If possible, I will add to that the announcement of the two Round Tables for the Future Media track. *October 10* On Wednesday, we will announce the sponsors of the event. *October 11* Thursday I hope to do part two of the interviews. This will at least have video interviews with Thijs de Vries and Bas van Abel as well as a text interview with Shane (if he answers Helen in time) so that will be mostly about the Future Media track. It'd be great if Athanasios-Ilias Rousinopoulos can get the answers from Roca by then (just tell him to keep it short, dude!) and I'll also try to work in what I received from Lydia Pintscher. It'll be a great article by then, both in terms of size as well as content :D Maybe we can do something more later on but I think this week is most important to beat the drum on our program: we need to get people to register and all that! IF there is anything else to announce, please, PLEASE let me know. I'll try to keep a decent plan... Any other input and help is VERY much welcome. [opensuse-conference] GSoC + GCI BoF session

Hi, I added a BOF session to the wiki for a general GSoC and GCI discussion. From the GSoC perspective, I think it will be a nice idea for students and mentors to interact and discuss the future on their projects. We can have sessions detailing the work done, and what more could be done. It would be quite cool if a lot of ideas come out of the discussion. For GCI, we can have an open discussion on what all could be achieved this year. I think the session would be quite awesome. Regards,. [opensuse-conference] plan for the work on the ground

Hi, next week we will be designing the work we will do on the ground on Thursday and Friday before the conference. We will also create a plan for the conference days. This plan will be completed the week before the event, since a couple of SUSE employees will be at the venue everyday to make sure that, when the volunteers arrive, they know what to do and who will coordinate every group. So if you come out with something that will need somebody to take care during the conference or right before the conference, please send it to this mailing list so we can collect it a add it to the plan. We probably will publish the first version of the plan in the wiki, so you can also work on it. [opensuse-conference] contact numbers in Code of Conduct

Hi folks, The code of conduct has a section with emergency numbers and such. Can we please fill in those numbers asap so the CoC can be printed? I guess Michal or Theo know what numbers should be there? We need: prague police number (non emergency and emergency) Prague Hospital (non emergency and emergency) Taxi: I would happily add them if you can give me the numbers here. Jos
