Hi, as we are going to have plenty of communities on the conference and they probably want some small parties just for themselves, let's give them a tool to organize themselves and to promote their parties (like the Gnome launch party). Let's put everything on the wiki: http://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Conference_communities_parties Jos: Do you think you can announce it together with telling people that there will be no speakers dinner on Sunday as there is too many speakers and supporters to fit to some reasonable dinner, so instead let's let communities organize parties and let people choose? [opensuse-conference] BoF sessions

Heya folks, I've been thinking more about the BoF sessions and updated the page. Made the sessions 1 hour long: for a BoF, 30 minutes is often not enough anyway and if you let people schedule mostly-1 hour sessions, you get gaps of 30 minutes which aren't nice. So I just put it at whole hours. I added some comments on top as well and a link to our 'BoF session news article' from last year. I could adapt that article and put it out again, pointing to our BoF page. Does anyone think that that is a bad idea? Any other comments on the BoF page? If not - I'll make them public. How do we deal with someone who wants to be un-subscribed, as in, won't come to the conf? Heya team, I just wanted to let you all know: if you want to communicate something to the people going to the event, I can access the list of registered visitors and mail them collectively. So let me know if there is something you have to get out to them! Note that the conference-participant list is NOT the right way to talk to all conference goers as that list is opt-in so not everyone is on it! /Jos

Heya, All our speakers are on indico, right? Or not? I'd like to send a mail to the speakers about the materials we have for them: - Speakers' guidelines - Tips and tricks, including a how-to on preparing a talk - article about how to prepare and give a workshop I would also like to update the article about how to organize a BoF and get that out to our conference goers unless somebody objects, but I'll do that closer to the deadline for organizing BoF sessions. /Jos
