[opensuse-conference] Task: Venue Change

Hi, For the Venue Change Team, I've found these two pieces of information: --- cut --- (It's a commercial place, they care for chairs, tables & cleaning) We can get in there at Monday at 7am Task force: all available people - pure muscle --- cut --- and --- cut --- Tasks * available on sunday night --- cut --- They sound a bit confusingly together. I'd need to know when and which time the task starts. It would be also nice to know how much people are actually needed (at least wild guessing). Having a plan what to move where would help too. [opensuse-conference] room chairmen needed

Hello, we (Vlado Moravec in cc: and I) are looking for chairmen for the conference. The chairmen play a key role (apart from the presenters of course) in a smoothly running conference talks. The main responsibilities are making sure that: * talks start and end in time (especially keeping some time aside for the speakers to set up their laptops and the audience change flow; this includes notifying the speakers about time limits during the talks). * water is available for all speakers * help the speaker setting up their nootebooks with projector, power plug and network * ventilate room after each talk (important) * schedule changes are announced properly * people are not disturbing the lectures by getting in after talk starts (grace period 5 or 10 minutes, depending on the length of the talk) and don't allow people in if room is full This aside, you can enjoy the lectures as anybody else with the great bonus that even if the room is full, you are guaranteed to get in. :) Don't hesitate, uncle (or aunt?) Geeko needs you - drop me or Vlado a line when you could chair a room and which one you'd prefer! Thanks! English version is at the bottom! -- CZECH -- Ahoj, lidi co se ucastni openSUSE Konference bych rad poprosil jestli by nechteli byt nejaky cas na nasem stanku. Snahou je mit tam po celou dobu v sobotu a nedeli minimalne jednoho cloveka ze SUSE a jednoho z komunity + jeden co by se pohyboval kolem kiosku od studio tymu (pokud se nam ten podari dopravit z NUE). No a nakonec pro ty co radi vymysli veci tak potrebuju vymyslet nejake hezke otazky o SUSE a openSUSE za ktere bysme mohli davat darky (ctete tricka, plysaky, etc). Takze pokud nejak chcete prispivat odpovezte do konference a nebo mi poslete primo mail (pokud se nechcete subscribnout) a pridejte se na wiki do tabulky pomocniku [1][2]. Nejsem si moc jisty proc jsou ty mista pro zapis dve, takze pouzijte pouze cislo dva bych rekl. Zdar -- ENGLISH -- Hi, I would like to ask openSUSE conference atendees to help out with openSUSE Booth. The goal is to have at least one person from SUSE, one comunity member and one guy around SUSE studio team kiosk (if we manage to bring it to Prague) Well and last but not least for those who like to invent stuff up I need some quiz questions about SUSE as a company and openSUSE so we can give out some fancy stuff to winners (tshirts, stuffed animals, etc.) So if you want to contribute just sent reply to the mailinglist or contact me directly (if you don't want to subscribe the list) and add yourself to the table of suppor staff [1][2]. I am not sure why there are two places to signup, so please add youself only to number two. Hi, translations to Czech are critical since we have to give the article to Press department from college so they send it to local media today so it get published tomorrow. We will need also tomorrow to translate an announcement so, again, we send it to college on Thursday morning, the send it to media on Thursday afternoon before 15-17 hours so local media include it in their communications for the following day. Everything we intend to be publish in local media has to be sent to college the day before at lunch time or it won't be published Having announcement in local media can bring us up to 100 new attendees. The effort is totally worth it.
