Update all Libreoffice packages to 4.0 from http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/LibreOffice:/Stable/openSUSE_12.3/ 2. Also install the libreoffice-base-drivers-mysql package 3. Open any base file with native mysql support (provided by the plugin above). 4. Enter a username and password. Actual Results: Libreoffice crashes with the error terminate called after throwing an instance of 'sql::InvalidArgumentException' what(): Couldn't load library libmysqlclient_r.so: libmysqlclient_r.so: Kann die Shared-Object-Datei nicht öffnen: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden on the console. [translation of the last sentence: "Couldn't open the shared object file: file or directory not found"] Expected Results: Should not crash as it was before with Libreoffice 3.6 from http://download.opensuse.org/distribution/12.3/repo/oss/. Installing the packages libmysql55client_r18 and libmyclient_r18 didn't help. Traceback will be provided if it should be necessary and not a simple dependency issue. This is a critical bug (crash) and reproducible from several people from the first day on. The fix is as simple as it could be, but 4 months after the report, it isn't fixed yet. This tells me a lot about the responsible maintainer. Better no maintainer than a repo, where no single bug is getting fixed. Is this bug also in 13.1 beta? I noticed this crash too a few days ago (on a default 13.2 installation in particular). Installing libmysqlclient_r18 fixed it (and uninstalling it reproduced the crash). So I think we should do an LO update for 13.2 as well (and 13.1 it seems, haven't tested that yet). Well, you can install libmysqlclient_r18 manually to fix the crash. But I agree with you that we should release an update for 13.2 too, see my previous comment. And if the maintenance teams agrees too, I will submit an update ASAP.
