Yes, if it is on the menu there is no problem. You don't even have to
drag/drop. Just right click and choose where you want it. That is
very nice, by the way!!
The problem is with bash scripts, self-developed programs, etc. that
are not on the menu. Making a link to them is critical. Yes,
CRITICAL!!! :)
How can I ask a Windows user to use a desktop where they can't create a
shortcut to anything. "Well, if you put a folder view on the desktop then you
can create one there." Wow, that's archaic! "But wait, there's more....now
you have to place a quicklaunch on the desktop first and THEN you can create a
shortcut in that." We need to get KDE back to where we can create a launcher
on the desktop or Windows users are just simply not going to be interested in
something so difficult to use.
