It works good. I have three exactly the same cards (and one nVidia Corporation NV34 [GeForce FX 5500] (rev a1)) in SuSE 10.1, x86_64. Firstly the xserver cannot initialize these cards. I have found new rpm (I cannot repeat this find now) and now it works, but it says to log "Maximum clock: 125.00 MHz" and cannot drive my fixed sync screens (1280x1024x76Hz). I have tried to force pixelclock by xorg.conf, but no effect. I can put ssh access to someone from suse to the machine, but it is my workstation now :-). Section "Device" DacSpeed 150 .. The card is a riva tnt2 - nvidia chipset. During the installation YaST came up with "no graficcard" . I tried to configure it manually but there was no possibility of it. I therefore installed the system without any gfx drivers. From runlevel 3 I copied over the complete driver directory from 10.1 (usr/X11R6/.... ) It was still not running. I deinstalled the x-server packages, installed them again and than run sax2. Now everything is fine.
