Here it is a must to give the user more transparency. After do that, a dialog window inform me that the service was published on the local network. In fact, the service is listed in KDE network services, but when I try to access it, the message "Unknown host mypcname.local" appears in Konqueror. I've read bug no. 103155, i haven't any firewall enabled, i've tried with both stock glibc and updated glibc (from suse security updates), but the only way to make it work is to modify /etc/nsswitch.conf in the usual way... But could it be possible to change this behaviour : - If I select on item that have some sub items in it, to go back, I have to use a "back" bar on the right of the menu. Is it possible to change to have a back link (arrow) in front of the main item and click on it to go back? There is 256M of memory (two RAM cards) When I start any program which using much memory (firefox or YaST) titlebar changes to be hatching, some application crashes or segfaults randomly. Sometimes all X-server crashes There is color deepth from 24 bit and Direct Rendering is disabled. When I change color deepth to 16, DR will be enabled. If I start any 3D application (googleearth in fullscreen) it draws only to 1/3 of screen (the middle one). This problem was also in 10.0 In Windows it was all right (as user says) Stefan, some informations I sent you in private mail wasn't correct, so ingore them. Logs will follows, if you will need more informations, write me. Print something successfully 2. Start YaST printer module 3. Printing is no longer possible Subsequent to starting the yast printer module, jobs are queued but apparently not sent to the printer, which sits with the "ready" indicator lit but does not print. The following have no effect: 1. Exiting yast or reconfiguring the printer 2. /etc/init.d/cups restart 3. /etc/init.d/cups stop; rmmod lp parport_pc parport; modprobe lp; /etc/init.d/cups start Rebooting, however, works fine: anything that was queued after starting yast then prints. No idea if this is a hwinfo, yast, or kernel problem. Previous 2.6 kernels have caused trouble with parallel port printers (including the one shipped with suse 10.0, as I recall); this may be caused by a similar problem. A side-effect of this is that it is impossible in all circumstances to print test pages from yast, making the troubleshooting of PPD files, and printer configuration in general, very tedious. I then found that it couldn't change it via SaX2 to the higher resolution, either. Sax2 said it was set to 1280x800 (24bit) but as soon as I tested the resolution the test screen would always be 1027x768. After some investigation it appeared that even though the 915resolution utility was installed, it was not called anymore to fix the missing resolution setting. I had to manually edit the /etc/sysconfig/videobios file and set VIDEOBIOS_PARAMETERS="38 1280 800 24". Once I set this, I got back to the higher resolution.
