Is there a better way, how to do it? Figuring that it was taking too long I tried to cntrl C out of it and the console did not respond. I tried to mouse around in the GUI and there was no mouse . . . GUI was frozen . . . !!! Kernel panic????? I believe he put it into the linux-next branch which I believe is what will become the 6.8 kernel.
