The installation of openQA-worker yields the following additional output: Leap-15.3: Additional rpm output: Leap-15.3: useradd -r -s /sbin/nologin -c "openQA worker" -U -d /var/lib/empty _openqa-worker Leap-15.3: usermod -a -G nogroup _openqa-worker Leap-15.3: usermod -a -G kvm _openqa-worker So it looks like that useradd omits the login shell and sets it to /sbin/nologin instead.
