Bug ID: 1187477
Summary: Selecting LXQt thems works badly or not at all
Classification: openSUSE
Product: openSUSE Distribution
Version: Leap 15.3
Hardware: x86-64
OS: openSUSE Leap 15.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: LXQt

In the LXQt Configuration > Appearance > LXQt themes, switching between theeme
does not work for most, and works badly even for those that preview only after
clicking around.
This reminds me of a problem that has happened often in the past when the path
to the directory holding the themes is incorrect but back then there was a way
to define a path to the directory holding the themes. I don't see that now so
there is no way to manually correct the problem.
It should also be noted that if LXQt is chosen as the only Desktop installed
during installation (by first selecting Generic Desktop, then in the
Installation summary click on "Software" and then adding the LXQt pattern), the
generic openSUSE wallpaper displays instead of any of the LXQt themes, further
suggesting a bad path.

If debug information support is enabled in the mentioned project, some packages
will not be built due to a conflict when collecting debug information for
native and cross-compiled packages.
How to reproduce:
1. branch one of the following package into a local project
mingw32-libqt4
mingw32-libqt4-static
mingw32-libqt5-qtbase
mingw32-libqt5-qtdeclarative
mingw32-libqt5-qttools
2. enable debug info support at the created project
What happens:
The build fails with "error: Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found:"
/usr/lib/debug/...
What is expected:
The build should not fail with debug info support enabled at project or package
level
Adding debug information at the project level was originally proposed as a
workaround for a non-stripping problem with the cross-gcc package reported at
https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1116889.

Tumbleweed with LXQt installed on Sony Vaio PCG-71913L.
Started LXQt, lxqt-powermanagement complains "Battery not found - LXQt could
not find data about any battery - monitoring disabled".
Following https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=828697 , I've
installed upower on Tumbleweed, and now lxqt-powermanagement is able to find
battery data and to show Battery icon [SOLVED].
I suggest upower must be stated as Required to libkf5solid package (or perhaps
to
lxqt-powermanagement package itself).

lxmenu-data is required for displaying the "Applications" menu under the
"Places" section and probably other functionality.
According to the official README
(https://github.com/lxqt/pcmanfm-qt#compiling-source-code), the runtime
dependencies are: qtx11extras, lxmenu-data, liblxqt and libfm-qt.
libfm-qt is already a dependency and I think lxmenu-data should be at least a
recommended package.
I don't know about liblxqt though.

system information
I have just upgraded my device to Tumbleweed and now backlight brightness is
stuck at 100% with no way to change it.
I have tried several methods, including xbacklight and Xfce settings.
Backlight control used to work fine with Kernel 5.3 shipped by Leap.
I found a recent report using similar hardware that could suggest a regression
in the kernel:
https://discuss.getsol.us/d/6039-brightness-control-not-working-on-apple-di…
I attached information about my system but please let me know what else I can
provide.

I'm running coturn-4.5.2-lp152.20.1.x86_64 from network:telephony (on Leap
15.2). I updated from 4.5.1 (Leap) which worked fine but now I'm running into
troubles:
1) Started process will terminate soon with SIGSYS
2) After resolving this, it'll fail with
> 0: : ERROR: main: Cannot configure any meaningful IP listener address
I strace'd both issues:
1) (very early at the start of binary, fails even with other executables, most
likely anything linked with pthread)
> 1974 set_tid_address(0x7fefc2c04290) = 1974
> 1974 set_robust_list(0x7fefc2c042a0, 24) = 0

> 1974 rt_sigaction(SIGRT_1, {sa_handler=0x7fefc1fc5c90, sa_mask=[], sa_flags=SA_RESTORER|SA_RESTART|SA_SIGINFO, sa_restorer=0x7fefc1fd22d0}, NULL, 8) = 0

> 1974 +++ killed by SIGSYS +++
2)
> 2168 write(3, "0: : WARNING: cannot find privat"..., 69) = 69
> 2168 write(3, "0: : WARNING: cannot start TLS a"..., 95) = 95
> 2168 write(3, "0: : NO EXPLICIT LISTENER ADDRES"..., 53) = 53
> 2168 write(3, "0: : ===========Discovering list"..., 58) = 58
> 2168 socket(AF_NETLINK, SOCK_RAW|SOCK_CLOEXEC, NETLINK_ROUTE) = -1 EAFNOSUPPORT (Address family not supported by protocol)
> 2168 write(3, "0: : ERROR: main: Cannot configu"..., 70) = 70
The following .service file modification fixes the issue for me:
-SystemCallFilter=~@clock @debug @module @mount @raw-io @reboot @swap
@privileged @resources @cpu-emulation @obsolete
-RestrictAddressFamilies=AF_INET AF_INET6 AF_UNIX
+SystemCallFilter=~@clock @debug @module @mount @raw-io @reboot @swap
@privileged @cpu-emulation @obsolete
+RestrictAddressFamilies=AF_INET AF_INET6 AF_UNIX AF_NETLINK
Note that the first change may not be needed with systemd newer than v235 [1]
(I guess I shouldn't be running coturn from network:telephony on Leap).

Given TW20191012 with KDE Plasma 5.17 (via KDE/Frameworks5 repo) hplip-systray
(hplip-3.19.6-2.1.x86_64) is always shown, although it is configured as "Hide
when inactive". As a matter of fact, changing the behaviour of the system tray
icon via the HP Device Manager does not have any effect at all. On top of that,
the icon is frozen. Any idea?

Downgrading back to mariadb-10.5.11 made it all work again.
It's the mariadb from the repo-sle-update repository.
mariadb 10.5.12 updated 4 September 2021.
I don't have more information, as I'm back at 10.5.11.
