Example: mount -t cifs \\server\users_share\alice /mnt Alice has no permissions for the folder "users_share", so she can't see other usernames. But Alice has permissions for the folder "alice". Until 5.3.18-lp152.57 such a mount worked fine. I just got this message with 5.3.18-lp152.57: | cannot query dirs between root and final path, enabling CIFS_MOUNT_USE_PREFIX_PATH But the mount was fine.
