" Need to install with option --no-drm but got a warning : " WARNING: The nvidia-drm module will not be installed. As a result, DRM-KMS will not function with this installation of the NVIDIA driver. I will try to guess at what you're asking. I thought this on two of them might be related, but probably isn't: [ 44.765076] fbcon: Taking over console [ 44.783950] Console: switching to colour frame buffer device 90x30 (Neither of the boards have any graphical output device or cable attached, so that was unexpected.) Observed on both 4.19.8 and 4.20.0, where I believe it worked before. ssh was still working fine (beware of the root login issue, bug #1118114). Turns out that I have come to expect pressing ENTER key to give me a new login prompt, if the screen got crowded with e.g. btrfs kernel output or if the serial was newly connected. This is no longer working. If I just assume there was a prompt and "blindly" enter a username, then it proceeds to the password prompt just fine. I wonder whether this might be an side-effect of the agetty rewrite for the repeating login prompt caused by IPv6? (bug #1085196 comments 76 ff.)
