Placing a symlink to urllib3 real package is the way of doing for example by fedora. The second trouble is the differences between the patches Continuing to have two main repository d:l:p and d:l:p3 will drive us to this kind of errors, which can put our users in trouble ( one version working the other not ) or at risk ( one security patch pushed on one version and not the others) I don't know if it could be easy to have a check on obs, if one or the other version is updated, a reminder (warn, error, info) is shown that the other version is not up to date.
