The new polkit in openSUSE-12.3 switched to Javascript rules files (from the
previous ini-like config files).
Webyast does not reflect this change and thus all policykit related code does
not work (the users do not have any permission granted).

A plain install of Milestone 4 now "hangs" when mounting an NFSv4 exported
filesystem (from an openSUSE 12.3 server) until a timeout hits. This is shown
in /var/log/messages:
2013-08-28T13:31:48.270260+02:00 testing kernel: [ 1204.940662] RPC: AUTH_GSS
upcall timed out.
2013-08-28T13:31:48.270276+02:00 testing kernel: [ 1204.940662] Please check
user daemon is running.
There is no Kerberos configured, and the NFS related settings in
/etc/sysconfig/nfs are left at their defaults (i.e. NFS3 and NFS4 enabled and
*GSSD* options left unchanged). The required daemons (rpcbind, rpc.idmapd,
rpc.mountd, rpc.statd) are all running OK.
When the timeout occurs, the remote file system is accessible and fully usable,
it's just the appr. 30 secs. timeout which is annoying.
Reproducible: Always

I´ve got .ogg and .mp3 files in my Playlist in Amarok and i´ve choose Random
play.
So if Amarok played an .mp3 file and after it, it jumps to an .ogg file, it
hangs up. You must press stop button and start button again, then he play the
.ogg file.
The same happen if first play .ogg and than jumps to .mp3 file.
g-streamer is activated in Amarok.
.mp3 to .mp3 and .ogg to .ogg works perfectly.
When you press skip to jump over in works, but when Amarok must do it by self,
it hangs.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Start Amarok
2.Add .ogg and .mp3 files in Playlist
3.Choose Random-play Song-titles not Album
4.Press Play-Button and wait for the jump to another file
Actual Results:
Amarok hang up in the file (.mp3 or .ogg) both the same result. You must press
stop button and start button again, then he play the .ogg/.mp3 file.

I'm not sure when this started, but is like the HDD is writing every few
seconds, even when the laptop has plenty of free RAM and the swap volume is not
in use. What I noticed is that the system stops responding, could be anything
from a right click menu that takes a few seconds to come up to a simple request
such as requesting for ls -al on my home folder.
I was trying to figure out which application was performing the writes and then
I saw the top top threads were from jbd2 (jbd2/dm-1-8 and jbd2/dm-2-8). I
searched on google and found a few posts and one of them suggested to use the
following kernel boot option:
transparent_hugepage=never
In one of the posts (http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse/2012-03/msg00890.html),
Lars Müller (Samba Team and the person who suggested the kernel boot option)
requested to create a bug report about it.
While I'm still testing, I have not experienced the same issues since
yesterday.

Hey,
I would like to register a XMMS2 project at OpenSuSE Build Service where we can
produce release-candidate builds etc for a couple of common OSes/archs. This
would also a be a place to gather some of the most common clients, and have the
ability for many people to help out a central project.
