Although does not changes existing example configuration and not start server. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. set yast ui_mode to 'expert' (in file /etc/YaST2/ProductFeatures) 2. launch YAST2 and then open LDAP-server module 3. leave all values default or change them to desired values. 4. when the finish button is clicked on the last step, configs should write and ldap server start but they not 5. next step is launch ldap-server module again and see ldap server settings window (like this http://ru.opensuse.org/images/thumb/7/7a/10-ldap_schema_config.png/600px-10…) But this not happens. It uses grub2 as the bootloaded, which by default was installed on the only partition. As a maintenance update once prevented the drive to be booted until I manually ran grub2-install again, I was advised to install grub2 on the MBR instead. So I tried: # grub2-install --root-directory=/mnt/usb /dev/sdb However this command never returns, and grub2-bios-setup uses 100% CPU. I'll attach the debug log I gathered. Note the version number. Apper always has at least several packages to update that aren't even installed. When performing the update, an error message says "can't find package ...". Because then there continually are packages to update, which is shown in the panel, the whole program is of little benefit (I don't need it to update packages, and it doesn't tell me when there are updates available). Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 12.1 with KDE desktop 2. Run a normal desktop, with apper in the panel 3. Observe the continuous updates that are being offered but which don't even exist. Error "the files relating to this package couldn't be found" or some such. Expected Results: Apper as panel icon only shows if there are updates available. "Available" means for the packages currently installed on the system (others are of no interest).
