Here is a summary of observations: 1) The problem that affects the usability most is that the distributions listed in the "Build Results" panel of project/show?project= are cutoff. If the distro name is too long, nothing resizes the panel (or shortens the distro name) so that the string is readable. The example in the first screenshot attachment is from https://build.suse.de/project/show?project=home%3Asreeves1%3Abranches%3AOBS… 2) The second problem is on the package/show?package= page. (See attachment in comment #1) This time the problem is also in the "Build Results" panel. The state column overruns the border on the panel. The example comes from https://build.suse.de/package/show?package=gimp.SUSE_SLE-11_Update_Test&pro… What's interesting about 2) is that in the package/show? widget, the distro string is shortened, but in 1) it isn't. And in 1) there isn't an overrun of the state column over the panel border like there is in 2). These examples are from IBS, but apparently the same problem exists in OBS. If someone make a branch from my project, I am no longer able to change the repository layout anymore. An example from Java:openjdk6:Factory Failed to remove target 'SLE_11' Unable to delete repository; following repositories depend on this project: home:msmeissn:branches:Java:openjdk6:Factory/SLE_11 home:WernerFink:11.1/SLE_11 home:shahin_gh:branches:Java:openjdk6:Factory/SLE_11 That's worse because people did a branch can freely do any changes they want (unless someone make a branch). And mailing to all people do not work, I did that. I propose to change this approach and allow projects to change a repository layouts in any case. From project maintainer's perspective such step means - I'm no longer interested in such thing. I am aware this will break user's branches, because the dependent packages won't be available. In openSUSE 12.2 and 12.3 the prompt for the passphrase brought up a gui widget which, although not perfect, was a vast improvement over a text prompt in the middle of a load of technical boot information. Without a gui for the passphrase 13.1 is simply not suitable for installation on encrypted devices (net-books, lap-tops etc. I've tried installing 13.1 as an upgrade to an existing 12.3 system, as a new install over an existing 12.3 system and as a new install on unformatted disks accepting the default LVM & encrypted volume group settings and all have a text-based prompt for the passphrase. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Install openSUSE 13.1 2.Set up root and swap as encrypted LVM 3. On starup of Yast2 software management the process of updating repositories fails. Details show that the update tries to connect to an IPv6 address instead of going through the IPv4 configured proxy. Same machine has no problems to update the repos with zypper. Its only the GUI that fails, even after turning off IPv6 in the global LAN settings. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 13.1 2. Open Yast2 Software management 3. Get the error that online repositories can't get updated Actual Results: Dialog box complaining about connection problems. Connection is tried via IPv6 which doesn't work due to firewall policy. Expected Results: Update should work using the configured proxy servers and IPv4. Workaround: Use zypper from a terminal window.
