During the transition I want to boot 12.3 by default though. I cannot get it to work. Note: Forwarding request to 'systemctl is-enabled syslog.service'. enabled syslog on .. This leads to completely incorrect plots. This is now fixed upstream, and I am porting the fix to the version released with openSUSE 13.1 (i.e., 1.18). Kindly consider allowing the update. Thanks! To summarise, stellarium crashes whenever one clicks on the tiny arrow marks in "ocular view". This is a severe bug and is solved by update to version 0.12.4 https://launchpad.net/stellarium/+milestone/0.12.4 This update introduces this fix and a minor enhancement over version 0.12.3 released with 13.1, and I think it would be very useful to have a maintenance update fixing this. This mostly happens when the system is under I/O load I think. I reported the problem at KDE and the Phonon maintainer suspects a multithreading issue in alsa. Please see the KDE bug here: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=328087 That bug report contains a backtrace as well, but I can of course attach a new one here as well if wanted. I also want to add that I didn't have any crashes on 12.3 with exact the same versions of KDE, Phonon, and VLC.
