How it is: When I first selct the correct keyboard layout (e.g. German) instead of default English, and then select German language (instead of the default English) then the keyboard selection is switching back to English. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start installation 2. Select keyboard layout "German" 3. Select language "German" Actual Results: How it is: When I first select the correct keyboard layout (e.g. German) instead of default English, and then select German language (instead of the default English) then the keyboard selection is switching back to English. Previously working trackpoint system (red trackpoint, plus 3 buttons above trackpad). stopped working, seemingly linked with O/S updates. Fixed by downgrading kernel from 3.1.10-1.16 to -1.9. Output from YaST Hardware Information for both kernels posted at <http://www.cs.bath.ac.uk/~mdc/suse/>, as k10-1.16.hardware and k10-1.9.hardware. Note that the entry for Trackpoint goes missing between 1.9 and 1.16. I'm prepared to get other info for both kernels, e.g. lsmod output, but could you give me a list of outputs to get in one cycle? I allowed it to fetch all available updates while upgrading. Hardware clock was previously set to local time for compatibility with dual-booting into Windows. Timezone Melbourne/Australia (UTC+11h). Upon booting the upgraded system, the time was ~11h into the future and the hardware clock was now set to UTC. (This was probably due to interpreting the local time from the hardware clock as UTC.) I was able to set it back and run an ntp sync. I haven't checked if it survives a reboot - another bug report (now closed) suggested that this might keep happening. Reproducible: Didn't try Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install openSUSE 12.1 with hardware clock set to local 2. Upgrade to openSUSE 12.2 3. Boot and check the time Actual Results: Hardware clock interpreted as UTC without updating its contents.
