Wine uses prelink to set fixed load address of some of it's libraries. However
starting with openSUSE 12.1 prelink fails with following error message:
/usr/sbin/prelink: kernel32.dll.so: Unknown DWARF DW_OP_242
/usr/sbin/prelink: ntdll.dll.so: Unknown DWARF DW_OP_242
Need updated version of prelink which has this problem fixed:
+ Revision: 82668
- update to latest fedora version, which is required to avoid errors like:
prelink: /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2: Unknown DWARF DW_OP_242
Reproducible: Always

Summary: profile problem with turnpike's nvpn and vpnlogin
Classification: openSUSE

Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: SuSE Other

Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Network
AssignedTo: mls(a)suse.com

Blocker: No
On 12.1, appart from --help, I can't get nvpn to do anything else than print
$ nvpn -l
VPNCLIENT-UI-4615:Failed to set user Environment. The client is exiting
Likewise, vpnlogin shows a dialog box with
"Profiles directory does not exist. Client installation might be incomplete."
At that point, the content of .turnpike is:
$ find .turnpike
turnpike
turnpike/profiles
turnpike/usercerts
turnpike/vendorprofiles
turnpike/vpnlogin_lock
turnpike/log.txt
However, if I copy over the content of .turnpike from a 11.4 machine, vpnlogin
works, can connect, set up the routes and everything. On the other hand, nvpn
still prints the same error.
At that point, the content of .turnpike is:
$ find .turnpike
turnpike
turnpike/profiles
turnpike/profiles/profile_amy.prf
turnpike/usercerts
turnpike/vendorprofiles
turnpike/vendorprofiles/vendor_amy.prf
turnpike/log.txt
turnpike/racoon.conf
turnpike/vpnlogin_lock
