However, I have tried installing it onto 11.1, and this error does arise, however, I am given the option to ignore and continue installing. It is not. Consider this simple setup first primary partition 8GB swap encrytped second primary partition 100MB /boot NOT_encrypted third primary partition 20GB / encrypted When you try to define the third parition and select / and encrypted, when you click on next button you get error message that / cannot be defined on encrypted partition. This is a defect. This feature may work with encrypted LVM but doesn't work with basic encrypted partitions.
