This stems from setup-dm.sh examining "dmsetup table" output to figure out which dm modules need to be included into the initrd. Example output: sysvg-rootlv-real: 0 4194304 linear 9:1 419430784 sysvg-rootlv_postinstall-cow: 0 2097152 linear 9:1 423625088 sysvg-rootlv_postinstall: 0 4194304 snapshot 253:5 253:7 P 8 sysvg-rootlv: 0 4194304 snapshot-origin 253:5 Here it is correct to assume "snapshot" is a dm target, however "snapshot-origin" is not (belongs to "snapshot" as well) and thus a special exception to avoid the error message. Attached trivial patch fixes this. Please apply. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure /root is on LVM or otherwise make sure mkinitrd takes care of including LVM 2. lvcreate a snapshot volume of an arbitrary LV 3. Call mkinitrd Actual Results: Error messages about "dm-snapshot-origin" module that could not be found. I believe OpenSuse 11.4 has serious problem, and USB transfer is Extremely important function. Further, clicking x in the upper right corner of the window had no effect. I was able to Alt-F2 and launch another instance. The second instance is working fine. I have moved the inop window to a unused KDE desktop and have just left it there, so it can sit for a couple days if there are any troubleshooting things I can do. == environment OS: 11.4 with Tumbleweed updated to roughly May 20, 2011 version KDE4.6 tsclient-2.0.2-22.1.x86_64 == what I was doing I often leave tsclient running for extended periods, then open up a specific remote connection as needed. Only thing logged by syslog is: multipathd (2869): /proc/2869/oom_adj is deprecated, please use /proc/2869/oom_score_adj instead There is problem to get full log of crash report, the output is going only to hardware console, nothing is logged to syslog.
