Shortly after logging into KDE 4.4.3 (composite enabled) there was a freeze, which got into the system in several steps. The only extra steps I did was opening konsole, did some git actions, after that konsole did not echo keys I pressed, but the menu opened by the mouse still worked for a few seconds. The desktop became more and more unrespopnsive, at the end the mouse pointer disappeared and X was dead. I attach the old Xorg log. Using the same configuration as in bug #605171. Without changing that line, every time I try to print the print prints a black page. As I can not find the line inside the new C64 PPD I can not use the old "trick". In the past I used information from that link http://www.fixya.com/support/t174960-printer_drive_epson_stylus_c67 ( Solution #3 ) to print using OpenSuSE 11.1 and 11.2. The "trick" was : " Problem solved: I found out that the problem was the setting "GSResolution=360x240DPI" in the draft print out mode. Then edited the ppd file in /etc/cups, generated by Yast with the drive c64 and changed the resolution to 360X360. Now it works. Nevertheless I think I would prefer to write a proper driver with this modification already included. I shall try that as soon as I find out where linux keeps the original driver c67, which appears in Yast. " Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Add your printer ( Epson C67 ) 2. You can not find the correct configuration so you try to use a similar one ( Epson C64 ) 3. Try to print a test page and you get a black page. Actual Results: Get a black page. A terminal dump showed the following error - "Sys_Error: Couldn't load default.cfg" I was able to trace it to a packaging error where the base files are installed to /usr/share/tremulous/base/ and the binary does not search this path. I moved them to ~/.tremulous/base and was able to get further, but then this error popped up - "Sys_Error: recursive error after: opStack corrupted in compiled code." I replaced the tremulous.x86_64 binary with this one http://releases.mercenariesguild.net/client/linux_x64/tremulous.x86_64 and everything was fine, game runs no problems. Nothing spiked the cpu or memory. No extra process started in time for me to see in top just before freezing. The video driver is the default built in driver from install. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot system 2. Log into a normal user session lvl 5 3. Leave system idle at desktop or use system. Actual Results: System Freezes Completely. Expected Results: Running normally without lockups. I have marked on the logs at when crashed happened. I looked into /etc/sysconfig/network/ and found wlan0 but not wlan1. I guess this is to be expected since iwconfig shows no cfg file for wlan1. I copied the file for wlan0 and changed the "name" parameter from "ar5523" to "rtl8185" Now, running ifup wlan1, the system hangs at wpa-supplicant. Rebooting (via power off)the system hangs after desktop loads, and I presume, while system probes wlan1. I removed card to regain control of the system. They install their driver in: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/updates/extensions But do nothing to make Xorg look there before it picks up the default GLX renderer from: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so Unless you manually configure your "Files" section GLX won't load because /usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so is part of xorg-x11-server-7.5_1.8.0-10.3.1.i586 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
