Using the DVD for Milestone 4, I did a fresh install and the partitioning plan proposed by Yast was to reformat sda4 and split it into 3 partitions, swap, root and (probably) home. It did ask permission to do this and I was able to manually persuade it to reformat sda1 and 2 and reuse those which was what I wanted - but it was not obvious how to do this and it took some experimenting to achieve it. I wanted a clean install (lot of cruft left from previous installations) so did not consider upgrade. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Boot up computer with installation dvd in drive 2. Select Install 3. Enter default responses to licence etc Actual Results: Yast presented its proposal for the installation which included reformatting my /home partition. A novice could easily have agreed to this and lost their data. Expected Results: In this case there is probably no automatic solution to where yast should put the new install (no empty space) so it almost certainly has to present the user with the possible options and ask for guidance. Probably several options need to be presented one of which has to be positively selected - no defaults and no automatic options. I think I remember earlier versions having the same feature - so its probably not new. Having passed this point in the install, I do not want to undo the progress I have made to try to replicate it. This function does not appear to work at all in version 2.1.1 that ships with Milestone 7. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start Amarok 2. Populate your collection with valid files that have valid tags (ogg format) 3. Right-click on an album 4. Select "Fetch Cover" Actual Results: The software informs the user that it has searched all available covers and that they may wish to try a different region. No actual covers are ever returned. Expected Results: A cover should be returned for the user to select (provided the album exists on Amazon.com) This issue is a known problem with Amarok version 2.1.1 according to the developers. Wish solution or info, or how you obtained them. A key problem is that such a document from Analog Devices, (Chip maker) is not current. It is because Suse has playhouse. Until suse 10.0 there was both a book and a program through which the information was about how suse had structured the system. Today definitely produce anything, not even on openSUSE, ashamed. After two days of searching on the internet I found info that I thought could solve the problem with RS232 port, MAKEDEV, a small program in a few Kbytes. Yes, but, #?§!, access denied emerged as a result. Serial port??? How you can become hysterical, or is it complete lack of knowledge? My anger could be much less if there was no info anywhere to download, unfortunately, do not hesitate to refer to the chaos for those stupid idiots who are using Suse. Since SUSE 10.0 is mostly out of operation in the suse distro, drug abuse in suse team? And this with KDE4, of course, beautiful to look at! The users then? To the trash, please. In suse 11.2 KDE 3 was gone, why? Terror against the user? Power saving, believe me, there is actually a manual switch! Since SUSE 10.0, it takes about two days before you have found all the places to be marked off. Again, suse is hysterical? Someone at suse has heard of a tool called CASE? Suse has actually been a good team, but, lack of information creates a nightmare for the user. RS232, RS484, etc., is a very viable for a very long time to come. Simple and robust.
